A New York State of Mind

This quilt is my homage to the most exciting and vibrant city in the world -
New York - certainly one of the great centers for art, music, theater in the world!

The traditional New York Beauty blocks were taken from Karen Stone's paper piecing
patterns which I set in my own design. I added my own interlocking circle
and tassel in the border with machine appliqué'.
The fabrics are all commercial batiks and hand dyes.
The quilt was free motion quilted on a Juki TL98Q
