The Holly and the Ivy

The Christmas wreath center of The Holly and the Ivy is broderie perse cut from a Christmas floral printed cotton to which i added red Cardinals and gold metallic quilting. The surrounding blocks were pieced and appliquéd from blocks found in EQ5.

The corner paper pieced trees are embellished with glass beads to suggest glass Christmas ornaments.

This quilt hangs on our stairway wall every Christmas season.
