This wall hanging was pieced using a combination of Priscilla Bianchi's wonderful Guatemalan hand loomed cottons as well as printed and painted stripes. The autumn leaves were cut from hand dyed cottons and thread painted with variegated threads and appliquéd with a narrow matching satin stitch. The free motion quilting uses gold metallic thread and was accomplished on a domestic machine using wool batting. It works equally well as a table runner.
